[ASPUG] Adelaide SharePoint User Group October 2017 Newsletter

Greetings and Salutations,

At this months meeting on Tuesday the 17th of October 2017, we welcome back Russ Norton from 3grow SharePoint Training who has again offered to present at the user group on the topic of “Mmmm… Making the Most of Managed Metadata” where participants will discover how Managed Metadata can help you and your users categorise - and therefore more easily find - documents and other information stored within your SharePoint sites, whether you're using SharePoint Online or on-premises at the October meeting while in town providing training.

Russ has spoken at many events, often at Office 365 Saturday Adelaide and at the Adelaide SharePoint User Group.

This month has been an exciting month for SharePoint and Office 365 with the Microsoft Ignite 2017 event with announcement after annoucement, more details are below!

SharePoint 2019 (On-Prem) and Office 2019 versions have been announced with a preview coming mid 2018 and released late in 2018. Also, Microsoft has announced that moving forward, Microsoft Flow is to be the core componant and replacement for workflows in SharePoint online.

There has also been a raft of announcements, Hub Sites for Office 365, New features for Communication Sites, Microsoft Forms Web Part (Coming Soon) , more details are below, but we will also take a look at the major announcements at this this months meeting too.
